―The Sniper, TF2
Not to be confused with Hitman, other glove that requires killing players for a bounty.
Overview
Hunter was added on July 19, 2024 and requires the Bounty Claimed badge. It's a brown leather made glove with yellow pockets for bullets on its back and bullets on the bottom of the glove, making it resemble a cowboy outfit.
Obtainment
Go to The Bunker at the Lobby, and enter an opened door on the left which if you go under the huge cardboard box you'll get teleported to the Start of the maze. When you finish it, you must walk into a house, then click the lever (behind the house, you can collect the Cube Of Life for HP regeneration, and you can traverse through a spiral staircase in front the house for an extra life). Anyone that is not in the house will be automatically killed. Once the lever is clicked, the floor opens, and as you fall, you finally get into the bossfight. After you finish the bossfight, you get two options, sparing guide or allowing him to die. Allowing him to die will give you hunter.
Ability
Upon pressing “E,” you will hear an audio say: "Target acquired,” and you will mark a random player with a tracking effect that stays on them permanently. If you manage to kill them, you will be greeted with a red aura effect and increased power/speed. Your power will raise to 90, and your speed will increase to 22 (same as 10 Killstreak). This lasts for 10 seconds before going away. If another player slaps your target off, you will hear "Target lost" and not get treated to a boost.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Good power and speed.
- If fast enough, you are able to chain the buff.
- To do this, you just need to target a player, and kill them after 10 seconds of your cooldown is done with. Then target another player while you have the bounty claimed and kill them. It should stack.
- Said buff will usually kill as it has 10 less power than The Flex.
- The ability permanently lasts on a player, even if you die.
- You can possibly perform combos with the increased speed (this is rare).
- You can target new players in order to get the power up faster.
- Since the ability shows where the player is for a second, you can use that to your advantage in order to find hiding players.
- You can see invisible players that are marked. Such as Ghost, Phantom, Admin and Hitman (when invisible).
- Great if you want to stay active, as the ability randomly chooses people.
- The power up is great for teamers.
- If your target is using Replica, you can kill the clone and get the boost.
- However, this counts as glitch abuse and can get you banned.
- You can kill many players in those 10 seconds with the buffs you receive.
- You can move while marking players.
- Good for campers who are hiding on islands.
- You can out-speed most gloves in the game.
- Other gloves, like MEGAROCK and Obby can help you get kills faster.
- You can easily take out large groups of people with your high speed and power.
- The power up can catch people off guard, letting you kill more easily.
- You can see marked players through walls and other barriers.
Cons
- Target can be anyone (except Spectator), including people stuck in Run and Elude users.
- Trying to get a target can be risky if you get a oneshot glove as your target.
- Your target can sometimes be someone being sent into the void which wastes your ability.
- You need to be the person who hits your target last before they die to get the buff, which can be difficult in crowds.
- Since the target is random, it may lock onto players on far away locations, such as Slapple Island.
- Players can hide and or use abilities to wait out yours like Slapple and MEGAROCK.
- If players are skilled enough they can slap you during your ability which can lose time.
- You have the chance to target a teammate or friend.

Trivia
- The "Target Lost" and "Target Acquired" sound effects are from Portal 1, acquired and lost.
- The tooltip is a reference to a line from “Meet the Sniper” from TF2.
- Previously at times, the ability would glitch, and not lock onto a player. It also bugs the leaderboard, and hides it forever for you only unless you rejoin. This has not been fixed.
- This glove is very similar to Hitman.
- Jet has the same marking icon with its ability.
- Interestingly, if an ability knocks your target off, you will not hear the "Target Lost" sound.
- One of three gloves you can get in Where Guide Resides the others being Relude and Avatar.
